How we assess your application

Trinnovo Group uses an AI model to help our Talent team review applications faster. This page explains what the AI does, what it doesn’t do, and how you can review or challenge how your application is assessed.

Who reviews your application

Every application is reviewed by a member of the Trinnovo Group Talent team. An AI model (OpenAI GPT-4o-mini) reads your CV and produces a preliminary score to help us prioritise reviews. The AI does not make shortlist or reject decisions — a human does.

What the AI looks for

The AI scores five categories on your CV. Each category contributes a fixed weight to your CV score:

  • Sales Experience (40%)— concrete B2B, target-carrying, or quota-hit evidence.
  • Sales Language (25%)— how you frame your work: outcomes, numbers, self-marketing.
  • Competitive Background (20%)— sport, academic competition, or other evidence of drive to win.
  • Intent (10%)— explicit interest in sales, recruitment, or commission-driven work.
  • CV Craft (5%)— overall readability and structure.

We do not infer age, ethnicity, immigration status, or any other protected characteristic from your name, photo, or country of birth.

The optional questions

Your CV is scored first and is the main signal. The application form also has five short optional questions. Answering them can add a further boost to your score, up to 20 points. They never reduce your score, so a strong CV stands on its own.

  • Target or quota experience
  • Hardest you have worked
  • Facing knock-backs
  • Competitive drive
  • Your short pitch to us

If you answer, we read the questions for relevance, specificity, and sales-mind indicators, and take the average as a quality signal that we add on top of your CV score. If you leave them blank, we simply score your CV.

Your right to work in the UK and whether you can work five days a week in London are eligibility questions. They are not part of your score.

How you can review or challenge

  • You can ask a member of our team to review your application without reference to the AI score at any time. Email marketing@trinnovo.com.
  • You can request access to your data, correction, deletion, portability, restriction, or object to the processing under UK GDPR Articles 15–21.
  • You can lodge a complaint with the Information Commissioner’s Office at ico.org.uk (opens in a new tab).

Adjustments

If you need to submit your application in a different way (audio, video, longer answers, help with the form), email marketing@trinnovo.com. This will not disadvantage your application.

Data processing

  • Your CV text is processed by OpenAI, Inc. (United States) under the EU-US Data Privacy Framework and UK Extension. Trinnovo Group Ltd is the data controller.
  • Applications are retained for the duration of the intake and up to 24 months afterwards so we can consider you for a future Academy cohort if this one is not a match. You can ask us to delete your application sooner at any time by emailing marketing@trinnovo.com.
